The traction sheave is the sheave on the traction machine, which can also be called a traction sheave or a driving sheave. It is a device for elevators to transmit traction power, which is to use the friction between the traction wire rope and the rope groove on the traction wheel flange to transmit power. So what are the conditions of the elevator traction sheave for the material?
Because the traction sheave needs to bear all the dynamic and static loads of the elevator car, counterweight, and load capacity, the conditions for the traction sheave are that its toughness must be good, its strength must be high, and it must be resistant to wear and tear. Due to the characteristics of impact resistance, QT60-2 ductile iron is mostly used in the selection of materials. This is to reduce the wear of the traction wire rope in the rope groove of the traction sheave. In addition to selecting a suitable groove type, the hardness and roughness of the working surface of the rope groove must have reasonable conditions.
The overall traction sheave is divided into two parts, the middle is the drum (drum), and the outside is made of a rim-type rope groove cut on the rim, the outer rim and the inner drum are set, connected by hinged bolts. together, thus forming a whole of the traction sheave.
